Looking for some new pawls for my worm gear. Mine are worn out on my reels. Wondering if I should also change the worm gear but, I put a pawl in from another reel that was just a little to big and it dug in good so I'm figuring the worm gears are okay. Also, I heard the revo pawls fit the lews reels. Is this true b/c I can get them cheap off ebay. Does anyone use ceramic pawls. And if so do they wear out the worm gear quicker?

Academy has worm gears and pawls, or, at least they did in the past. It might be that many of the reels have the same pawl/worm gear. I bought some when they were on clearance at Academy for $0.02 if you can believe it. When they want to get rid of something they will sell it for next to nothing!

Hey thanks guys. I'll probably run down there tonight and check it out. And yes academy can have some incredible deals!! The one in smyrna beside Murfreesboro can be even cheaper! I love it
