pellet gun question

We have coonhunted for years. The Gamo is as bad a pellet riffle as I have ever seen. It won't kill a coon unless it is a headshot, though. I have seen them run off with 5-22 bullets in their body.

My son has a Gamo Whisper Silent Cat and it's a bad a** air rifle. It has dispatched several rabbits and possums over the last 2 years.

i would use a 22 cal or bigger 177 is best on birds tree rats mice and things no bigger than a squirrel i have shot a few squirrels with a 177 but the 22 works better on bigger game i use a benjamin genesis 22cal with a 3x9x32 scope at 30 yards a tree rat has had a bad day the 177 is a bull whisper and i have taken a few rabbits and some squirrels but you have to make a head shot or at least hit hart or lungs . they is an old saying about air guns 177 for feathers 22 or bigger for fur good luck hope this helps
