I would like to hear everyone's opinion of the perfect boat. Take into consideration hull material and why, hull design, layout, etc.

A DK, a Polo, a JSV, any of those options are pretty much assured of crappie coming over the side. Other than that, any boat but mine. :(

Murdock, if you are only going to fish for crappie and nothing else, then a boat like mine is all you need. My boat lacks some storage space, but everyboat is like that. You always want more. Since all I do is crappie fish and fish for spotted bass with crappie jigs, and occasionally fish for stripers, then my pro crappie bass tracker is all I want. It rides great in rough water and I'm not afraid to beach it anywhere on this lake. If you aren't prone to fall out of the boat like EricM and I are then the regular bass tracker is fine too. I wouldn't trade my boat for any other unless it was a new tracker. Motor, yes, but boat, no. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

I've got to agree with Drumking on his boat. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. The well is pretty deep and even in choppy water it feels very secure. Tracker makes a very durable boat.

Hey Buddy ,
For my money I like the Triton boats, these boats are well layed out, mine has three live wells lots of storage, rides great for a Aluminum boat and as DK said you dont have to worry about putting it on the beach or up against rocks or whatever, its STABLE and I can ride around all day and look for fish and burn very little gas, when I looked at boats, I looked at them all, war eagle, sea ark, tracker, G-3 and you can see what I picked and the only regret I have is its not two feet longer, I fish for everything out of it and it workes great for everything except really big water "rough".
One piece of advice, do yourself a favor, Have fun , go look at them ALL yourself, Everyone likes the one they have. Then when you figured out what you want Then start looking for deals,, Check for older but new models, repo's and things like that, boat traider,,, all over the place,
I got mine at a repo lot for about 5 grand cheeper than a new "old" model of my same boat that I found,, after I did the paper work for the first one..
It pays to keep looking... emoThumbsup
