I was out Sunday night fishing up river a boat comes up goes between be & the bank whichwas sixty yards . He makes a half circle around behind me , its not the first time this has happened . Well I've decided to carry my pistol from now on. I sure this as happened to other people , don't
know Iam sure Probley someone we all know. But don't care enough is enough. If who ever it is , this a-- h--- . don't have the
the balls or guts to do it during the day ,,because you can't tell who it is at night . Some people have a serious problem, but not as big of a problem as they are going to have . Know body owns the lake its the Tennessee river it has no address. IF someone is fishing a spot you want to fish then find another one until they leave. Don't be a --- ---- .

Seems that would have been a good time for the Q-beam and state. "About time you showed up." then "Sorry, I thought you must have known me by the way you came in on top of me".. as their retinas are still blistered and seeing nothing but big flashing spots. To threaten with a gun could create problems that could make your fishing spot not worth it. and ruin your life.

Remember... You do not own the river either.. to stay away from you is acourteous act,not a law.

Oh I know I don't , but Iam sick of people acting like they do. Not like there wasn't anywhere else to go . Wasn't but three truck in the parking lot. You know what iam saying iam sure you seen it also. People will run all the way across the river just to see what your fishing or get a lineup on where your setting. Iam site they have a depth finder so its not like they can't find any.

Pulling a gun is the last thing you want to do. Carry a 1 million candle power spot light and light em up. Keep in mind I'd say over 50% of the guys out on the water late at night are also carrying a gun, and you pulling one or threatening to could turn out really bad for both of you. Be careful and try to avoid idiots like that.

Yes I should have said it makes you think about it. Just wish people would do stupid crap like that , it just isn't right. If someone is that worried about where your setting they have serious problems . No sportsman ship.

thats just the way of life out here on the chick everyone is usually on top of each other. we just have to find more inventive ways to catch them. you have to be as courteous as possible though. like i always say with the technology we have today there is no secret spots. if you know a spot most likely there are 10 or 15 more that have done well on the same spot.

dont bring guns to a tournament. JUST OUT FISH THEM!!!!!!

Although I have wanted to pull a gun before on idiots like that, I know it would only end in a bad situation. More than likely you will go to jail if the other party calls the police, unless they were threatening your life. Going to jail / paying fines is not worth a fish to me. I definately feel your frustration though. This is why I stream fish in the summer and pull the skeeter out when it starts to cool off.

Spurhunter no dude I didn't have a lot to post about this time pretty slow then got sleepy brought it to the house.

I would like to see who ever it was that came in between you and the bank post why they did it but you know that isn't going to happen.

Be nice y'all. It could be Mr. Green Jeans coming up to check you or somebody all cranked up on that dope, you never know, that's why it's important to be courteous and slough if off.

A well-armed society should be a polite society emoAngel

I thought I understood all this... Now being confused, am I getting an understanding that it is somehow a requirement on CFF that if you admit that you are fishing in the general fishing comment section you are expected to have posted your results in a fishing report? I will admit, I'm in big trouble...
I thought you said you were out there fishing in your first comment... Then I see this >>> Guys, what does this have to do with "General Fishing" discussion?
Floatingjig, did you post a fishing report of your trip?"
Am I missing something here?

You didn't miss anything. There is no requirement to post a fishing report. Comments like that is why a lot of people don't post anything anymore........

spurhunter has over 13000 post. i dont see how you have time too do anything in the outdoors with those kind of numbers.

Use the spotlight, get the boat registration number and turn it over to the TWRA. I would think this is classified as an unsafe boating practice. Things like that are one of the reasons I sold my boat.

Just for what it's worth ...... Derek gives good advice. Be warned: If you brandish or otherwise threaten someone with a gun, you're extremely likely to get shot! I can assure you that beyond any question I will shoot you if you point a gun in my direction in a threatening manner.

Now, as for the person/people in question ... there are folks out there that have NO CLUE how to fish, drive a boat, be courteous, or otherwise conduct themselves. And in reality, some don't even realize that they're doing anything wrong. All I can tell you is that unless it is very obvious that they are trying to intimidate you or otherwise bother you then the best thing you can do is laugh at their ignorance and just move on with life.
