After a PETA fool sent garbage to Chattanoogan.com to be posted, I wrote and sent a reply. </p>

Here is my question for Ms. Moore. Is it true that per PETA’s “Animal Record” report for 2009, filed with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, shows that your group killed 97 percent of the dogs and cats in its care last year? During all of 2009, PETA found adoptive homes for just eight pets, and killed 23,640.
Is it true that PETA has a $33 million annual budget, but instead of investing in the lives of the thousands of dogs and cats in its care, the group wastes millions on media campaigns telling Americans that eating meat, drinking milk, fishing, hunting, wearing leather shoes, and benefiting from medical research performed on lab rats are all wrong and unethical? It appears that PETA’s leaders care more about cutting into their marketing budget than finding homes for the six pets they kill on average during a given day? How can a tax-exempt agency that has killed over 120,000 animals over the last decade point the finger at others while keeping a straight face? Seems to fit the definition of a hypocrite. What is even more hypocritical is that PETA attempted to hide the killings of animals by storing the remains of these animals in a walk-in freezer until they cremate them. Even though the two stooges in North Carolina were acquitted, they admitted under oath that PETA exterminates large numbers of companion animals. How do you answer that Ms. Moore?

How about the study of James D Rose, a professor of zoology and physiology at the University of Wyoming, who has been working on questions of neurology for nearly 30 years. He has examined data on the responses of animals to pain and stimulus from scores of studies collected over the past 15 years. His report, published in the American journal Reviews of Fisheries Science, has concluded that awareness of pain depends on functions of specific regions of the cerebral cortex which fish do not possess. Professor Rose, 60, said that previous studies which had indicated that fish can feel pain had confused nociception (responding to a threatening stimulus - with feeling pain). For every study that says they feel pain, there is another with says they do not.

One more question. Is it true that PETA gave money to an organization on the United States terrorist watch list? A form PETA filed with the Internal Revenue Service shows it gave $1,500 to the North American Earth Liberation Front last April "to support program activities." Bet you ran out and told all your supporters that one, didn’t you. This group has committed more than 600 criminal acts since 1996, primarily arson, causing at least $43 million in damage.
How about PETA’s $70,000 gift to arsonist Rodney Coronado? For those who do not know, Coronado was convicted in 1995 and sentenced to 57 months in prison in connection with the February 28, 1992 arson attack on research facilities at Michigan State. Supporting another terrorist. How in the world has PETA not lost its not-for-profit status?

And finally, what about PETA’s Bruce Friedrich, who stood up in front of a public audience and advocated people going out and blowing up restaurants and blowing up medical laboratories. Just to keep the record clear, here are Friedrich's actual words: “If we really believe that animals have the same right to be free from pain and suffering at our hands, then, of course we're going to be, as a movement, blowing things up and smashing windows ... I think it's a great way to bring about animal liberation ... I think it would be great if all of the fast-food outlets, slaughterhouses, these laboratories, and the banks that fund them exploded tomorrow. I think it's perfectly appropriate for people to take bricks and toss them through the windows ... Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it.” How do you justify that Ms. Moore?
What’s the honest answer for these items? Here’s my answer. Clean up your own house before starting in on someone else. Isn’t it time for you to supervise the killing of a few more dogs and cats before the end of the day?
