I am looking to buy a new reel anfter I sell a few of mine at the cff yardsale. I have come across the new "summit" that pflueger brought out. It looks alot like the abu garcia revo, but about 50 bucks cheaper. I own 2 pflueger purists and love them,so I like the product. Just wondering if anyone owned one yet and if so how they like them.

fishinvol, I bought the summit recently and had the opportunity to use in yesterday in the CFF tx on the big G. I love that reel but I did have to remind myself yesterday that it was a 7.1 ratio and had to slow down reeling. It is extremely light wt and you can cast it a mile. Bassbullet used it as well yesterday also and she really liked the set up.

Thank you very much! Oh yea,it was nice meeting you two gals on Friday and I am glad you two did so well in the tourny!!emoThumbsup

i got when they first come out last summer and i love it for rat fishing i know it may not be right but i reel it back in reel fast and throw to where i missed the strike and talk about casting a country mile you have to stop it from going to far i will try it for rattle traps when the water warms up i am a big pflueger fan there great for a moderate price and lot people think they only make the 6:3:1 but they also make the slower gear ratio also just hard to come by

You might want to try your reel with some traps right now. It seems those are the hottest baits going!!
