Will be putting in Florence al does anyone have any lodging recommendations? Need boat parking thanks

I used McFarland park and they were very nice. No roof though, just tent/rv lodging. We bought and rv site so we could charge trolling batteries and just pitched a tent. 25$ for rv site like 12-13 for primitive tent sites right on the water

We rented a cabin on Wilson which was great for a week close to Florence and McFarland Park.

Jameson Inn in Sheffield is where I stay every time. Plenty of parking where you never have to unhook. And it's inexpensive.

there's several good hotels in Florence within 15 minutes of mcfarland park. the redlights are typically what slow you down. I always stay at Comfort Suites.

I am from Florence. I lived there my entire life until a year ago when i moved to Chattanooga after college. I would recommend Joe Wheeler State Park Cabins. address is 24921 AL-101, Town Creek, AL 35672. They are in-between Wilson Lake & Wheeler Lake but close enough drive to Pickwick. All hotels in the Florence area are boat friendly. With all the high school, college, and professional tournaments that are put on they really are able to accommodate boats at any hotel. Get ready to catch some of our big smallmouth. Have a great trip.

I stayed at Jamison Inn as mentioned above... I had no issues... lots of parking and room was clean. BUT,,, be aware.... it is an old hotel that is way past its prime. Some of the elevators do not work and some areas of the hotel need major remodeling. But it is inexpensive...
