Your gonna have to more detailed than that. Are you looking for a grill that will handle a whole pig, a smoker that will do it, an in-ground pit? Cmon man....

emoUpsmile I thought the same thing, ..ah yea....it is called a grill.emoPoke JK, I got a big grill with a rotisery and a fish fryer connected to it. Does real good on pig, chops, ribs, hams, you name I can cook it.emoHungry Jmax

Heck...a pig cooker could be a hole in the ground too. LOL!

Anyone got a hole in the ground to loan out?

I have seen temporary ones made using concrete blocks stacked up in a 3 sided pit, leave one end open to feed the coals to. Lay a piece of heavy expanded metal over the top, lay a whole pig on it, make all your coals in a 55 gal drum, shovel the coals onto the fire when needed, this is an all night afair for 2 or 3 people. When you are through, tear it all down. Don't forget to put an apple in the pig's mouth. Try a google search on pig cookers for plans and instructions.

I got a hole in the ground you can have I know where a great latrine is for ya. I was actually wondering if we had any cooks that might want to have an unofficial CFF pig picking get together.

Sounds good to me too.

Anyone ever done a pig in the ground? A buddy of mine did several years ago....MMMMM...what flavor!

I was shocked at how well it turned out. Takes time and work but well worth it.

You can drink a heck of alot of beer in 14 hours :) That could be a bunch of fun. I wonder if there is any way to make that happen?

I have a neightbor who has one in his driveway. Seen it since I moved here and have been dying for a reason to use it. You have started already by this thread. I'll go chat with him and see what I can find out. My boys play football in their backyard about everyday...

I can get the recipe my dads business partners use when they cook a pig. Its a sweet vinegar sauce North Carolina sauce.

I will be having a portable pit for sale sometime in the next week or two. It is large enough to cook for about 150 to 200 people at one time but can of course do much less.
