Anyone know of some good places to train Labs? A farm with ponds or such? My cousin trains field trail Labs and needs some new training areas. He lives in North Georgia, butwould travel around. Any info would be appreciated.

One good place is Johnson Bottoms WMA in Meigs County if he is willing to travel that far. When I had my Chessy I trained there with a group of guys that ran their dogs in derbies and field trials. There are a lot of places you can set up any situation you might encounter in the field. Plus, it is a pretty area.

When I trained my lab I did dummy throws and the launcher at the pond at camp jordan in east ridge. I wouldnt wade it to set decoys though as its very soft ground. I learned the hard way about that. and then I would also go down the road by the old RC field to the pavilion and walk down to the creek and it gave some good swift water training.

dont know how far hes willing to travel but jl lester wma in polk county ga is a great place to train. it has a large lake and a smaller one also. and it has loads of fields and so small creeks and so forth to pratice crossing water. the have lots of field trials there and its a nice place. i live like 3 miles from it so if he has any questions bout it tell him i will help anyway possible.
