My son, who is a novice fisherman, wants to take his 4 & 5 year old sons bank fishing. Any suggestions. He was asking if there are any smaller lakes or ponds in the area rather than heading to the big lake or river.
I have caught a lot of fish in the cove area right at Booker T Washington Park. I do see people fishing from the banks all the way around it, so there is access.
Chester Frost park has some nice fishing piers usually loaded with blue gill. worm and bobber work great or suspended a 5 or so feet down at end of dock. late evenings are usually good
