What's everyone's preference on frogs. Popping frogs or gliding frogs. And how many people use the trailer hooks on the back of your frogs

Personally, I like the gliding frogs best. I haven't ever used trailers on them either. I feel like they would get hung up in the grass way too much. You can bend your main hooks upward slightly and get a better hookup ratio. I also don't mess with all those crazy colors either. It's all about what is on the bottom of the frog because that's what the fish can see. I buy black, white, and I'll occasionally throw a green one. Hope this helps.

I have began to like the solid plastic frogs because the legs vast almost like a small buzzbait coming toward the boat when reeling in.

Need to try both. Sometimes the popping frog produces better & vice versa. I usually keep a rod rigged with each & switch up til I find what they want.

Had the best luck with the booyah pad crasher in what I call the basic frog color the more natural color bottoms as kickerfish mentioned is what I go for don't really matter about the top of the frog bass only see the bottom so I always go as natural as possible and I will also piggyback on kickerfish about straightening out the hook a little for better hook ups is also a very good idea just my pennies worth

I have a few of these and really like the way they look and sound coming through the water but have yet to catch one on it.

Thanks for all the info guys. Hopefully I will fall in love with fall frogging like most everyone else has. See yall on the water
