I decided to wet some line since it was raining earlier. I figured the SB bite would be on, so I loaded the rods up, put my rain suit on and went to a pond about a mile from my house. I threw the Sb for about 30 mins w/ 1 small LM. Started throwing a weightless sinko for a few minutes w/ nothing on it either. I pulled out the magical excalibur trap and tossed it out about 10 times, NOTHING. So I decided to stick with the trap for a few more casts and head home. Threw it out and BOOM, I knew it was a good fish, but didn't think it was almost 7lb. I tugged with it for about 5 minutes while playing with my drag so I wouldnt break off. Finally grabbed her up and she weighed 6lb 12oz, my heart was beating a little bit. I took a few pics and watched her swim off. emoDance The fish came on an Excalibur XR 50 trap in 2 ft of water, I figured that she just layed her eggs and if I could have hooked up with her a few weeks ago she would have went for 7.5 or so. Anyways, I had a blast and she was a beauty. emoParty
