Pond Cypress trees/CBA?

What was the reason for the CBA to plant numerous trees around the islands across from Island Cove marina?

they help to prevent/reduce erosion and if the water ever gets around them the "BIGS" love them

That came about when the area fisherman were trying to create some habitat after the grass was destroyed in the late 80s early 90s. Most of those were planted in the early to mid 90s. Wish we would have done water willow instead. If the water levels are up at the right time. Big fish will pile around them. One of the best days of fishing I ever had came around those trees in early May about 7 years ago
