We went over to my Grandmothers to eat lunch today and I went fishing in the ponds of her neighborhood. I only caught eight bass and the biggest was only about a pound and a half. I caught them all off the zoom finesse worms and the rapala countdown. I still enjoyed the fishing even though it was burning hot!!!

Pond fishing is where probably most of us got started in fishing. I have some fond memories of some milestones that were crossed in my own fishing life. It is still fun to go sometimes but like everyone else my busy life takes a front seat to the simpler things.
We went over to Johnson's crook a while back and fished a couple of the ponds over there. Didn't catch a lot, 5 channel cats and a half dozen Pompano bream but it was relaxing and peaceful. No boat to hookup,no traffic to deal with,no jet skis,no cabin cruisers, you get the point.
It was good and we need to do stuff like that more often.:)
