anyone know what a 24foot pontoon boat with a 40HP Johnson would be worth? a man on craigs list is wanting to trade me it for my stratos that i have for sale.that is all i know about his boat.

It depends on what year it is and what condition it is in. Could be anywhere from 3000 to 10000.

Without details on yr, condition, motor size, trailer specs, you cannot possibly make a decision on value. Get some pics, I searched for 4 months to find mine, I can help tell you if its worth the money hes asking.

If he wont supply good pics, I would allow about $1K WITH a good trailer. There are some really good deals out there right now.

Two things to REALLY check out, floor and railing. Everything else is gravy to replace. Take a knife and stick it and make sure the wood is sound all the way around. Concentrate on entry areas like the two side doors and front deck. Those are the areas that stay the wetest and will rot the fastest.

thank spur.i haven't had much luck selling my stratos and i was thinking that a pontoon might be easier to sell if i traded.but not really sure about that either because bass boats are used year round where as pontoons are mainly good weather boats.
