I've been having to work in South Pittsburg, so it was only fitting to drag the boat with me today and hit Nickajack on the way home. I put in at the ramp just down from Hale's Marina. I went down river with plans on fishing around the rip rap along the interstate and maybe hit the islands. However, there were multiple boats already at these spots. I think there must have been a tourney going on because the lake was full of bass boats. So instead, I head back up river and fished near the power lines just up river from Bennets lake. I caught a couple 2 pounders using a Zoom pumpkin seed colored worm on a Carolina rig. I would cast into 10 FOW and worked it down some ledges. Most bites came in about 20 FOW. I also got some decent bites on a weightless white fluke in about 8 FOW. There was submerged grass in this particular area.
Didn't catch many but it beat coming home and cutting grass.
By the way, there were a lot of logs and other junk floating. So be careful.
