Well Me and my wife headed to Murfreesboro to shoot a wedding this weekend. My whole family was in town so we definitely had to get out on the priest to try for some bass. Thursday night about 11 o'clock I was hitting the sack when My brother in law pulled up. It took some persuasion but he got me up and going and we decided to just go fish from 2am to 10 am. We only caught a couple while it was dark but as daylight started to break my brother in law hooked a nice 3.2lb smallie. We caught a few more largemouth and went to a flat where we had found an enormous amount of bait fish earlier. The bass were stacked up really good on the edge of the flat and we hammered a bunch of bass. The came up in the jumps every couple of minutes for about an hour. We decided to move and hit one more bank and I caught one just under 4lbs. It had a really big mouth but was super skinny. We caught close to 25 bass that day.

So the next night we hit the lake from around 11pm to 4am and it was pretty chilly. I took my brother in law to a spot I had been wanting to fish and we couldn't catch a thing. So I threw one more cast and Wham! I had a beast on. As the fight progressed I knew it wasn't a bass. We finally got it up in the boat and it was a mud cat close to 17lbs. We moved spots and caught 3 LM on a rocky bank. We then decided to go back to where I caught the Mud cat and the bass were starting to load up. We caught 5 more LM off that spot and called it anight. Percy Priest is really starting tofish a lotbetter. We had a blast this weekend.
