I offer a 10' or 20' extension cable I made up to hook your Humminbird/Lowrance units straight to the battery. It is Ancor Safety Duplex Cable - 14/2 gauge wire with an inline fuse holder and a 3 amp fuse f/Humminbird and a 5 amp fuse f/Lowrance. It also has the battery loops on the end to connect to your battery.

The power wire for Humminbird/Lowrance will not reach to the battery in many cases. Most will wire into a dash switch or fuse panel. This will sometimes cause a low voltage issue and create problems with your unit. I recommend wiring your unit direct to the battery to eliminate the chance for a low voltage issue down the road. This cable will assist you and save you some steps during your installation.

Safety Duplex Cable

ANCOR Duplex Cable is made to surpass the highest UL Boat Cable standards with ultra flexible (Type 3/Class K) stranding to resist fatigue due to vibration and flexing.
Outer jacket is made for easy removal and provides the best abrasion resistance available
ANCORs proprietary premium vinyl insulation stays flexible even in extreme cold and resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline and ultra-violet radiation. Exclusive insulation is rated at 600 volts, 105°C dry and 75°C wet, and is resistant to heat and abrasion.
Inner conductors are correctly color-coded to ABYC standards
Features red and yellow Marine Grade™ primary conductors in white common jacket
This will also help reduce/eliminate any other electrical interference.

Re: Power straight to your battery.....

Will these be OK for Lowrance also? I have the low voltage issue when my livewells are running and I start the big engine. Would like to direct wire my console unit but I can't find a good path for the wires from the console to the battery. Any suggestions? I direct wired my front unit by running a smaill flexible pvc pipe front to back and pulling the wires through it.

Re: Power straight to your battery.....

Yes this cable will work well with Lowrance. I add a 5 amp fuse for the Lowrance units. As far as running the cable to the battery from the console you would need to fish tape the cable thru the gunnel just as the other cables do from the console to the engine/battery compartment.
