Alan Cooper fell out of his boat and drowned above the pump station at racoon mtn Saturday evening. They havent found him so I am sure his family is having a really difficult time!

I will pray. Was out there Sunday and there were rescue teams all over the place. They were dragging the bottom there above the pump station, but that water can really move fast. Sad to here about things like this, that water can be very dangerous.

Hey is this the Alan Cooper that lived in Jasper that has the Maroon and Gold Renegade 20 Javelin with a 225 H/O Johnson I think he worked for one of the local candy companies

Don't know about the boat, but TWRA officials tell me he was from Chattanooga... a Brown's Ferry address.

Hey rsimms yes thats him fine young man late thirties I would say , I sold him the boat new in 99 does anybody know what happened.I pulled his file and the address matched

From what I have heard he was fishing with two friends and fell out of his boat. Thats bought all I have heard I dont really know. He lived up around tiftonia

Alan is a good friend of mine he his from lookout valley just like me we grew up together i don't know all the details but i have talked to his brothers and it's been real hard them' alan and i went to school together he use to go fishing with me before he had a boat we also hunted together and hung out too i'll miss him alot

Iwork with 2 of his brothers. Steven told me alan was sick and throwing up.Seconds later he fell over. No one actually saw it when it happened but did say they managed to grab his foot for a couple seconds and he was not kicking or anything so he may have been unconcious when he feel over. Also said he could'nt swim either. They have found his body now. I know the family is relieved that they did they was really botherd thinking they may never have the closier it brought. Sad deal if anything we can learn from this is that a PFD can make a hugh differnce for you and your family.
