I Had some dings in my SS Raker prop .. and took by there to see what cost would be to fix .. he said about 100 or so .. cheaper than new prop.. I asked him if he had any used alum props .. nope only new .. then just as I started to leave he said ... I 'll trade you even used stainless for new Alum emoQuestion emoIdea emoQuestion emoQuestion you mean straight up said I .. yep said he emoThumbsup emoToast .. thats a no brainer in my book .. sure I know the SS is prob better in alot of ways .. but if I hit something at least I will less likely to break lower unit.. I also had a SS prop from my last boat that I had .. it was a prop from a 75hp erude dinged up .. he gave me 30 cash for that one .. and I didnt have to fool with trying to sell on ebay ! emoParty
So the moral to this story is .. used SS props mean cash .. and barter is better for the wallet
