So i got a call from 305 779 9385 earlier today. Im from Miami and my are code is 305 also so i picked up. Lady barely spoke english, but thats very normal for people from Miami. Asked for me by first and last name. Said they were from XM radio and that they couldnt receive my payment and needed verification. So they immediately asked me for the last 4 of my social security number. I just hung up right there. I have a lifetime subscription that i payed for like 6 years ago so i dont have any payments. So Im pretty sure these people were trying to scam me. I wonder how far they would have gone if i gave them a bunch if false info. Maybe ill call the number back tomorrow and see what happens. Anyone else getting these types of calls? Its holliday season and that means scamming season.

scam for sure. Report the number to the authorities (it will only slow them down but that is better than letting them win).

Im going to call back tomorrow and see what they answer with. They caught me off guard when they called. I was playing with my daughter and watching football. But i plan on turning that number in

Bad thing about giving them bogus info is that it may actually be someone else's real info. That would cause problems for someone you never met. Just turn them in.

Good catch. It can also be just as bad on emails. They are really good at making things look like they are from legit sources.

Suspicious activity and complaints about calls to a number listed in the "Do Not Call Registry" can be made at www.ftc.gov/. A person does not have to complete all the requested information if not known. They use the complaints to build a case against a person or group.

Ok so i feel stupid. That same number kept calling me and i kept telling them to stop calling me. Then i got a letter in the mail saying i owed XM money or my service would be shut off. After thinking long and hard i forgot that i had a subscription to my phone and that was separate from the lifetime subscription. So the phone calls werent fake and they werent trying to scam me. I feel kinda dumb. Haha
