Don't forget to take the props off your main motor and trolling motor and check for fishing line and grass behind the props. It only takes a few minutes and will save you a ton of money, grass and line can ruin the seals and then do more damage as water gets inside through the seals

ABSOLUTELY!!!! i have a reminder on my calendar every 90days. chick has more line in it than ANY lake ive ever seen or fished. ive already lost 1 trolling motor and one lower unit to line in the time ive been here.

Having a reminder like that is an excellent idea

While fishing earlier in the week I hooked line on two separate occasions. Wound it up and put it in the boat. Thanks for the reminder.

While checking your props for line collecting, go ahead and crack your drain and vent plugs so a little lube runs down the skeg to check for color. Blue/black = good, milky coffee color = water intrusion.

Remember to change out the lube once a year and pay attention to the magnet on the drain plug for metal shavings.
