Primer Bulb replacement

Is there a certain time period for changing primer bulbs? Mine is 4 years old and doesnt seem to be holding a good prime anymore. I was just trying to figure out how often these wear out, life expectancy on them??

I just went thru the same thing. It seems that ethenol in the gas does a number on the check ball in the bulb and lets the gas drain back into the tank. Try this, take the bulb loose on the engine end, hold the bulb up and shake it. Can you hear the ball rattle ? If not, change the primer bulb.

I havent run to much of that crap gas in my rig.. I almost always get my fuel at HBSP they have 91 octane 100% fuel and when I got it Sun it was 3.69 a gallon.. Cant beat that price and its 100% but thanks for the tip I will check it.

I'd recommend buying from a dealer. The price may be a little higher but you are getting the factory part.

Everytime I have went cheap on an aftermarket bulb, (walmart,etc) it never worked right for long or leaked. Could have been me and maybe you will have better luck.
