Primo Cooking at Last

I have had my Primo ceramic cooker for about 3 weeks but haven't had a chance to use it untill last night and today, I had to fabricate a sst table for it to sit in. I took an old sst table I bought years a go when I was in the pizza business and reworked it to fit the Primo and my back deck, the pictures below show the progress from start to finish, the table isn't finished yet, I have to add a shelf below the table to store odds and ends. This table is 8 foot long and 30 inches wide, it has plenty of room to prep all your meats, there is almost 6 foot of free space to the right of the Primo grill. I must say this is the finest cooking machine made when you cook with lump charcoal, it will hold whatever temperature you would like to cook with, the pictures show 4 large pork butts cooked at one time and finally the last pic is of the finished product, This pan full of meat is 1/2 of what i cooked, my neighbor has a pan full just like it.I ate till I hurt and I was using a new bbq sauce Cheez told me about, Blue's Hog Tennessee Red and it is mighty fine for butts and ribs. If anyone is thinking about buying a grill (or computeremoLaugh ) this is the one to get, takes the hassel and guess work out of cooking.

Good to see you finally getting that Primo fired up. The best thing about the Primo is that it (and you) will make better food every time you use it.
The downside to using the Primo is that your bbq will be so good that you will have a very difficult time finding any bbq in a restaurant that is acceptable.

emoWorthy Outstanding work Doc,It may have taken you three weeks but the job you did will be worth it emoThumbsup the table looks great and plenty of room for prep, congrats

I got into sheetmetal work in 1966 and retired from it. I thought a stainless steel table for the Primo would set it off, clean up will be a breeze after cooking, just take a garden hose to everything. Hopefully I will get the shelf added in a few days and it will be finished.

Minner, I have all the computers for people who don't have one. emoLaugh If you know of anyone who needs one or needs repairs, send them to me, I have around 50 or 60 to sell. Maybe I need to hook up a computer to the primo and take all the work out of cooking emoLaugh Wet Willy and Fat Albert are using some of my computers.

SpurHunter - 2/20/2009 11:39 PMDoc you gonna make a table for mine too?
If you have plenty of money, if not bring the deed to the farm, that is some costly stuff.

Spur if you find a stainless table like on Craigslist I will cut out the hole with my plasmarc and help you fix it up for free. If you shop you can find the stainless a lot cheaper than you think. Lots of restaurants going out of business.

Doc,,That looks awsome,,, Nice job... emoWorthy
You did a great job on the table and the pork...

One word though, I noticed the deck was wet, you have to be cairfull when you are cooking all that great food not to drool on the meat it makes it soggy... emoPoke emoBigsmile
