Has anyone on here had any problems with the Lowrance LMS332C units. I have two on my boat and have experienced several problems with them. The units seem to either get water in them easily, or will not boot-up past the screen that pops up when you turn them on. Luckily Lowrance keeps replacing them because of my warranty. When I get my new one back from them this will be the 3rd one they have replaced this year. The last time I spoke with them I asked about getting a different model, and they said they would look into it, but I wanted to get some feedback some people before I went any further.

I love my lowrance but they do have a emoBang water problem. Best advice is make sure to turn them totally vertical emoRain when it starts to rain. I have had three different units(models) and every one of them has had this problem. They are really bad about restarting on their ownemoDoh . May be a reason that it says in the instruction booklet to install themwith a off and on switch.

What reasoning does Lowrance give for the continued problems? If the units continue to leak/ get water in them,it must be a design flaw.Sonar units are factory sealed and pressurized to keep moisture out. Therefore, the seals must be failing due to "form and fit" inherent in the design.

I`ve never had a problem with mine ....well after the initial bad one.......new from the box and it never worked period. They replaced it after a call and some troubleshotting over the phone.
I loaded the Mapcreate and planned a 8000 mi tour of the western US before I ever put it in the boat. Never had a problem since.....about five years.

I have a hd7 and had to return it twice do too water intrusion emoBang , both times was after fishing in the rain, Im going to try turning mine vertical like carl said, or only fish when its not emoRain .
