Problems with "The Bird Stuffer"

Took a couple of birds to "The Bird Stuffer" to get mounted on 1-15-2008. Was promised to get them back within 6-8 months. Well yesterday 8-2-2009( 1 year and 8 months later) I called to ask what the progress was on the birds and he proceded to tell me that he didnt want me calling him(This was the first time I had called him about it) and that he hadnt started on the birds. Then, today 8-3-09 with no warning he brought the frozen birds to me in a garbage bag and told me I needed to get someone else to mount my birds. I was wondering if anyone else has had an experience like this? Dude seems to be be a little off his rocker. I wouldnt advise anyone take any birds to him unless you got at least 3-4 years to wait and the patience to deal with this guy.

took my son over two years to get two ducks mounted, experienced the same attitude. They do look good but not worth the wait and the hassle.

Thats not a professional way to run any business. I want deal with any buisness that acts rude or unappreaciative of my business.

I've never had a fish or bird stuffed and most likely never will... I'm just not into that kind of decor.. But that seems like a pretty long time to get something done... What is a normal time limit to get a fish or bird mounted like that?? Would making one from a pic and measurements be faster than having a real one done?

It took me two years and six months to get a merganser mounted back from him. I called him just checking and was told he doesnt answer phone calls or return calls regarding the status of a bird.

Man I thought I was the only one. He has three of mine still from about two yrs ago. I still wonder if I will ever get them back.
I have seen his work it looks good but do the birds not go bad. In the amout of time he has had them.

I got a goldeneye mount done by kermit last year. it only took about 8 months to get mine back. I believe he said he's having health issues and has been in and out of the hospital. He was real nice to me, and never showed disrespect or acted rude. Seemed like a very nice guy. Maybe he has bad reactions to his meds or something?
