Bent a couple of ears on my prop yesterday. Where is the best place to take it for repair. I found a couple of places on the internet but am looking for who does the best work.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
By the way, it was a bad day. Not only did I whack my prop, I didn't catch any fish. Had two on that came off and a couple of hits on a crank bait. How do they miss all those hooks?

Just took my prop there. Nice people.
They have had a few people bring in props from the launch at Chester Frost. They said look out on the left side. I did mine at Harrison Bay.

Yep...as has been said several times, Performance Prop in Saddy Daisy. Their address is 8365 Dayton Pike, their phone number is 423-842-7767. Owner is Tim, they are great folks and they KNOW props. Cannot beat their work. emoWorthy Jmax

What is the problem at the Chester Frost launch that catches props?

There is an evil island hump right out in the middle of the bay that loves to chew up props this time of year. If you go straight from the ramp to the opening into the river you will hit it. No telling how many it has bent over the years. Jmax

jcv look at my post on asking about this. thanks for making me awate I would've hit ti today. Got my props back from prof. props and di A+ work.

I know not every navigation hazard can be marked, but why not one on the CF hump given all of the boat traffic and that is basically on a course with a straight shot to/from the ramp? That dang thing got me the first fall I was here and I'm lucky all it cost was a SS prop and not an entire lower unit. Yes, my stupidity but dosen't our boat registration fees (a tax) go for some aspects of safe navigation? Every fall we hear of someone else running over the high spot. Will it take somebody getting thrown out of a boat and killed before a navigation hazard marker is placed there?

I have nothing against Performance Propeler but my last occasion to repair my prop was at Dans Prop Shop and he did a good job.
