I was wondering if anyone has used one of these, I would like to, for the protection, I figure it will kill a little speed but not concerned about that but I am woried about drilling 4 holes in my skeg will this weeken it, dont want creat more problems than im trying to prevent..

I've never used one of those prop savers. But it you hit something hard enough to rip the skeg off. It look like you would have lost the prop saver also
 
That is usualy used to repair a badly damaged skeg. A true prop protector is a band that encases the prop. If you are going to get damage, it is going to happen. Like shootkrt said, You would loose this also. A skeg gaurd would not have stopped what happen in the pic. Drilling holes in the skeg is not going to effect the skeg with what HP looks like you have. I have drilled 5 small holes in skegs to install torque tamers to reduce the "fight" that some high performance props make. Never had any issues. I think you only have to drill 2 to install those. Just my 2 cents worth!!
