In you opinion dose a polished prop perform better than a dull finish prop? I know it looks better going to the water if it shiny, but dose it bite better. I dont see how being polished could help so i wanted to ask the pros.

We have to determine what the myth is first. I'm not sure a mirror finish does anything for performance. I actually believe the glossy finish may strengthen the blades but I'm not even sure about that. I wish I could be more help here. I have to pick up a prop from Billy at Performance Propeller tomorrow. I will ask him. I can tell you that the one I am getting is one of their custom built Performer IV's and it will have a mirror finish. I have seen drag props that are not mirrow finished though. The rougher finish probably helps the prop spin up faster by reducing friction with the water. Sometimes a smooth surface creates more friction than a slightly roughed up surface.
