I loved MB'S post on the spot issue. I think any thing we can do to protect the spawn is a big plus. I'm an avid smallmouth fisherman and have fished several Tournaments over the years. I would have to call Tims and Dale Hollow my home lakes and have fished them for years. The changes in the limits on both lakes have been outstanding. I will keep putting my trust in our fish and wildlife people. Like I stated above protecting the spawn is beneficial to our future fisheries and the different ways we can do this brings up several debates. I for one would like to see BASS take a lead
in this and start putting some restrictions on sight fishing. From Feb. to June they always seem to be on a lake during the spawn. These guys are good at what they do and can put some serious hurt on the big females in a couple of days. I can't say that all are affected thats caught but the stress thats put on them have to affect the spawn. This is just my opinion and I have no scientific data to back this up.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$'s are the reason that they do this. To heck with the spawn. Get it on film so we can make more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$'s. BTW, I'm not anti-BASS either. They have done more for bass fishing in the past 30 years or so than anyone that I know. But it is time for us to start thinking about saving the resource. emoGeezer
