Public boat ramps

Is Cottonport a public ramp and does it get over crowded on the weekends? Or should I just drive on in to Dayton?

Yes it's public and usually not to crowded. But that may change with more people starting to crappie fish.

I'm not sure about the one on the Meigs county side. The one across from it is public and can be used all year even when the water is at winter pool

I live about a mile from the Meigs county one It is usually not full Some times on Sat they have a tournament and it gets full It is also free. If you go about a mile further The cottonport marina has a year round ramp it is $5 or $45 for the year The county ramp you have to watch in the winter.
