A public meeting to discuss the allowable landing days for commercial Atlantic herring (sea herring) harvesters during the 2011 fishing season will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Urban Forestry Center, 45 Elwyn Road, Portsmouth, N.H. Members of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) Atlantic Herring Section from the states of New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts will participate.
