Decided to fish all night Saturday and when I turned at Fish N Fun towards CFP a car turned in behind me. I looked back and saw smoke blowing out of my wheel on the trailer emoEek I then started seeing sparks coming out and thought my tire was going to burst into flames. I got to the ramp and quickly backed the tires into the water. I looked it over and realized the center cap off the rim and the grease fitting cover were both missing. I knew I couldnt do nothing at 10:30 about it so I did what any other fishing junky would do and went fishing ;) The bite was pretty good by the way. Long story short we got to the ramp and looked at it in better light Sunday morning and the nut that goes onto the axle shaft and holds the washer against the bearings and all was GONE! Not sure how that just comes off but the washer had gotten bound up and wedged against the axle shaft. That was the only thing keeping the wheel on and where the sparks were coming from. I knew I wasnt getting it home like that and nobody was open. One of my last ideas was to call Billy and that was a good one. I told him what was going on and sent him a pic of the hub assembly and he stopped everything and brought me a new one. I dont know what he had going on but he came right out and Teddy Owensby even showed up with some tools we needed to finish up. I cant thank these guys enough especially Billy. The only reason he even knows me is because of my older brother who fishes with him some. I never expected him to come right out and fix it for me. I just thought since he builds trailers he might have an idea how to get my rig home and work it out there. Billy went above and beyond my expectations and my trailer made it home just fine :) To Billy and Teddy I thank you and I owe you big time. Dont hesitate to call buddy.

Don't tell them I said this but both those clowns are great guys. emoRolleyes I would not want them to get the big head. Billy has been a great friend and helped me out a couple times. I usually try and pay him back each year with a doe deer for his freezer. emoThumbsup Jmax

I thought Billy only took payments in the form of meat or fish anyways....For a skinny feller, he sure is hungry all the time. Must be a tape-worm. ;)

All joking aside, he has been know to help many a folk with trailer issues, I believe hes worked on one or two. :D

Those are two great guys and I dont even know them. Now pass on their kind deed the next time you get a chance.
