Ok guys,
This is going to be a two part fishing report because the last fish is just to amazing to wright in on the end of this report...((( got to read part two))).. emoPoke
Me and the Peanut "Alison" headed below the Chick Dam for our usal brim fishing trip, kind of a last outing beforeshe goes back to school next week,,
Stoped by Jack for some wax worms and headed for River park,, launched the boat and up to the dam we headed, we got anchored down and started catching a little of everything , and the key word there is little, Brim warmouth channel cats and even a little blue cat... all on wax worms,, after catching the second blue cat on Wax worms we had some chicken breast with us so I rigger a couple of poles and droped some chicken to the bottom to try to get Pea on some bigger cats,, We missed one wile we were still brim fishing , and managed a really good channel cat at 5 Lbs,,no blues emoScratch , we where having so much fun with the cats that we decided to pull the anchor and go drift some of the deep hole down river,, We managed one hookup with a big one but it came unbuttoned after about a minute, but it was on Peanuts rod and at least she got to feel a big cat pull, her first.. emoToast
Not having luck down river we headed back up to the Dam for some of the cats that where there..,,back to the spot,,, and set out the rods, with the exception on one of the rods I rigger a live brim and set it out..Did not get a biteon the cat rods but did manage a few bigger brim, but did see the brim rod running from something for about a minute then nothing..
Just before Dark IT happened ,,,, The hook-up...SEE PART TWO***
We did manage my first flathead cat on the brim rod I thought it was hung on the bottom but after a few pulls it started to move, and with the big rod that I had it rigger on I made quick work of my first flathead at about 6 Lb, cant belive after eating the brim it just layed down on the bottom and didnt move untill i pulled it up, big diferance from the blues ive caught..
