Just wanted to give you guys a update on how things are coming together,

Ive spent the last few months putting the shop in order and still practicing on all the diferent way to put a rod together, Marbling, Tiger Wrapping, Spiral guides,, Custom Wood and Cork handles, Forhand locking wraps,, and lots more, its a lot of fun and im getting pritty good if I do say so for myself,,,ive got some of the best looking ugly sticks around , couple of really nice cat rods, and even a couple of bass rods..next rod after the first of the year is a shooting rod for crappie..
I have joined a couple of Rod building forums and can get advice from some of the best rod builders in the country, and in the spring in going to Hi Point, NC for the 2009 Custom Rod Expo wich promises to be a great learning event, lots of rod building siminars and all the rod dealers should be there...

I just really want to do everything I can to ensure that all of the rods that go out with my name on them are the best possible quality and something that will stand out for there owners to use and be proud of for years...,,
Thanks for the look,,
Puddle

Looks like you will be able to keep your tan through the winter. emoPoke emoBigsmile

Nice looking rods bro. emoThumbsup

Thanks Buddy,
I realized after I started this, that my eyes arent as good as I thought they where,,,
I need all the light I can get..
Puddle...

I can sure dig the eyes not being what they used to be. Get some rods made up and I bet they will sell at the Georgia gathering. If they are my style I will be good for one or two.

Thanks Big Al,
You know I cant thank you enough for getting me started,,,

Cheez,
Sounds like a great idea,, looks like we are going to have a good crowd I have talked to a few folks that plan on comming that arent on the list yet, Shoot me a PM and I will make sure I bring a couple you would like..,,
Puddle,,,

I will do that for sure. Here is an idea. I promised to do a fish fry for the gathering and furnish the fish. Maybe you could assist me in catching them and demo a rod or two at the same time.

sweet set up dude .. I wish I had that much room too ! one way come hell er high water Im gonna have a warm garage by next fall

Puddle you have done an extreamly fine job on the rod shop, i am prowd for you but i am like cheeze, you will have a good tan this winter and next summer you won't be able to cool the room. I have 2 drop in flouresent lights, 4 bulbs eachthat I will give you if you want them. I couldn't pay your electric bill with all of those lights, it is a wonder the meter don't burn out a bearing if it is going as fast as I think it is. I have 10 of these lights in my garage and you don't even know they are on, they don't burn much juice.

puddle,Yes the room you have is great brother//The place I'm moving into is just a room 10x12,the rest will be for my office and all other needs, to keep things going; I figure I'll put the wrapping machine on one side and the drier set-up on the opposite wall..You gave me a great Idea with the plexiglass for the drier,,Nice.. Got any Pics Of the motor hookup?
