Ok Guy's,
This the Flathead Rod ive been working on "mentioned it in the twins II thread"
It has a little of everything I have learned over the last couple of years, Weaving , Marbling, Tread work, split flocked grips,,

Its built on a Rainshadow blank, built by Batson,, its a RX6 Graphite/ E-Glass tip, 7' fast action,, 30-60 lb Power Raiting , split grips "flocked",,"Flipped" perfection all aluminum reel seat,, Fugi Hardloy "hi-grade aluminum oxide" boat guides,, Belive it or not ive got about 5hr's in the weaving of my name alone, emoEek ,

This is a Serious Flathead Rod with huge power for fighting Big fish out of cover and swift current...
also thats a Quantum CABO reel,, super smooth, I will put it through the paces and tell you guys how I like it in a few months,, so far its a large reel "big gears" with a smaller line capacity, I see it being good for braid where you need a heavy duty reel but not 450 yards of braid,, Should reduce the need for so much backing with braid...Now if I can only figure out how to get on flatheads more often, Im deturmined to figure out how to catch the big ones that run deep in Carters this year...
Thanks for the look,, emoToast
What do you think??

Love the marbling technique..very nice. I bet Carters would have some nice big flatheads. I can't imagine catching a large flat head. I caught a nine pound flathead at Pickwick once and thought I had caught the world record smallmouth until I saw the whiskers in fading light.

I'm imagining the marbling in a nice brown, bronze, gold for a nice smallmouth rod.

Excellent marbling technique!! Looks great. How did you like wrapping over the marble? If it is not rock hard, it can be a pain.

Was not to bad, I use Thread Master and really like it, it seems to cure a little quicker, also working time is shorter but im getting better results with it..

I use thread master too. Reily makes one that goes on very thin and sets up MUCH faster than thread master. Comes in handy.
