Putting new wiring harness on f-350

My buddy is thinking about buying a f-350 for very very cheap. The problem is there was a fire on the main electrical panel, and has burned the wiring harness to nothing. It needs new wires on both sides of the firewall, complete wiring harnesses I should say. Does anyone know about how much it would be to fix this or even if it is worth fixing. The truck is pretty new and they only want $600. I think its around 04 model. Gas engine.

A 2004 that cheap I would be leary of, as there could be more damaged, but without looking at it I cant say for sure. I have never put a complete wiring harness in one that new but if it is like others I have done in the past it's not easy. Tell your friend to consider it carefully as it could wind up being a money pit.
