Question about braid

I have no experience with braid. When fishing with braid should a leader be used? Can braid be used for cranks and plastic? Thanks for your help.

just my opinions:

cb and braid dont mix(may be rare exceptions when ripping cb through grass)
leaders are a matter of confidence, if the water is dirty enough or the cover is thick enough for me to use braid then i dont need a leader.
i like to use braid when fishing a worm at night, making long casts, the lack of stretch really help with hooksets
