Skeeter - if you'll go back and look at some of the threads on the past events under the "Forum Events" feature, you'll get a bit of clarity on how they operate. They're essentially, 'events by committee.'
If you post an event, you then become "Event Director," which is a VERY loose term, but it does mean any logistics and some decisions inherently fall in your lap.
If you have anymore ?'s, please send me a PM and I'll walk you through the process to make something happen if this interests you. We'll have another one soon, and it may be a good idea to attend and see for yourself the pace and nuances involved. Bottom line though ... it ain't rocket science.
As was mentioned above - and this is EXTREMELY important - these are: 1) laid back, 2) low key, 3) friendly, 4) low emphasis on $$, events. The #1 reason for hosting these is to meet fellow CFF members and fellowship.
One more thing to answer an above question. We don't like to exclude anyone, but the general concensus is that AT LEAST one person in the boat should ideally be a CFF member.
