I meant to ask this at another tournament when my boat broke down and I couldn't make it back to weigh ins. Is it possible for another boat to weigh your fish in the event of an emergency or unavoidable circumstance? I have had a death in the family and will need to leave the lake early to attend the funeral but would like to fish until 12:00 or so.

Your partner can weigh your fish.

The way it goes-if fishing alone, you are screwed. Last month in the CBA I locked up my gearcase about 10 mi out and had to throw back my fish. Now, if there were another contestant willing to help- flag them down/call etc, you are allowed to bring your fish in to weigh in their boat. But you must be present. Maybe there is a way- I don't know.

My partner will be attending the funeral with me or else that's what we would do.
