I have an older Quicksilver throttle/ shift control. The little lock pin (not sure the technical name) that connects the shifter cable to the control has worn out and fallen out of the connectors.
I assume that I can find a replacement or can rig something up that will work.
My questions: Is there anything tricky to putting this thing back together? Any special tools required? Does anyone have experience with these connections that might have some advice before I go break something else? Would a small bolt & nut suffice until I can get the part, or would it work fine with a bolt if I can't find the part?
Thanks in advance!
