Sorry for the late report but we went out of town right after the tourney and playing catch up at work. My son has gotten the fishing bug and wants to fish every tournament that comes along. He and his pops fish the monday nite dogfight and when I told him about this one he jumped at the chace. We had all plans on staying in the grass and catching fish on a frog or a worm right on the edge of the weed line. After 3 slicks and only one on the frog we abandoned that pattern. We moved out closer the river channel and started flipping the blow downs that had no grass around them. We only caught 3 keepers all morning and after about 10:30 we didn't catch anything. I have to say that Tyan caught both of the bigger fish, I'm starting to realize that I'm becoming just the driver of the boat and truck to make sure he gets to his fish. We ended up with 11+ good enough for 2nd, and at one time I had to wake him up to make sure he didn't fall off his seat into the water. But soon after that he caught the biggest of the day a 4+ and that was enough to keep him up till we got home. It was a fantastic day to fish and getting to fish with my son always makes it that much more fun.
