There's a product called BARS LEAK that is quite effective in permanently stopping radiator leaks. You could probably buy it at any auto parts. I've used it years ago and it did the job.

I'm driving to Tampa next month and pulling an enclosed trailer, would you trust that stuff on a trip like that or would you just replace it?

Instead of replacing it, get it repaired by a good radiator shop, they will pressure test it also after the fix. Putting stop leak in a radiator might fix the leak but it will also stop up the rest of the radiator.

The best radiator shop in the chattanooga area great work and decent price Ringgold Radiator on 41 hwy. She will give you the best advise on what to do whether to replace or for her to fix it either way will be a great option. Good Luck!!!!

Are the Nylon end tanks broken or the aluminum piping? If its the nylon part there is no fix. If its the metal part they may be able to weld it. I wouldn't put stop leak in it. If it were mine I would replace it.

the tanks are known to crack on them, mine did and i had a new tank put on it and the radiator boiled out.cost $75 compared to $225 for new radiator.

Ranman, NO I would not want to drive that far with a bandaid on it. I'd take it to a shop and have it fixed if it can be fixed.

Cleveland Radiator did a repair for me (a number of years ago) and I was pleased at that time. I've had no further experience here.
