I put in at the dam the other day and fished for about an hour and this dude comes up in a jon boat and asks me if that is my Titan in the parking lot. I said it sure is and he said well, there is about 50 buzzards sitting on it! I thanked him and took off to the ramp and sure enough, there they were. They had scratched and pooped all over it. I took my boat out and went to Decatur and found a car wash and all the poop and scratched places came out. I had my son (Park Ranger) call TWRA and report it. I've fished for a lot of years and never seen any thing like it. DO NOT USE THIS RAMP at least till they can fix the problem (if they can). Just wanted to warn others about it.

the same thing happened to me a few weeks back so before i went back my dad went to walmart and bought a dummy owl that has a bobble head that moves when the wind blows and that is what it is for to scare pests like that away we put some sand in the bottom of it so the wind wouldnt blow it over and set it on top of the truck worked like a charm i was worried about someone stealing it but they didnt atleast not that time i think mt dad gave about 22 dollars for that thing but its better than getting your truck scratched up and save some money at the car wash! i also saw a guy up there put a tarp over his truck i guess that would work also emoThumbsup

I know the buzzards you are talking about! There's an old abandoned crane sitting by the old steam plant on the other side of the river. I've seen countless numbers of them roosting over there in that old crane. Something needs to be done for sure!

Update: A friend of mine rode his bike up there about the other day and did not see a buzzard! He said the parking lot was full of vehicles also. When I went me and the other guy were the only ones there. Maybe someone done something?
