Ramp on the uper side of the Nuke, Soddy maybe?

I saw what looked like a ramp under the power-lines above the Nuke the other day. Is that a public ramp? It would be a great place to pick those "Northerners" up when fishing that area. Any help??

I noticed it yesterday also. I saw three trucks there, but none of them had a trailer. However, the ramp appeared wet. I know this doesn't answer your question, but I wondered the same thing. I come from Sequatchie Valley and that would be a good ramp to have.

The ramp you are talking about is on TVA property. It used to be open, after 9/11 it was blocked off by a gate. If you are seeing trucks there it appears that the gate has been opened again. To get to the ramp you need to go out Sequoyah Road and turn left (north) on Igou Ferry Road (last intersection prior to the plant). The road you are looking for should be the second one on the right, it is a dirt road and used to be pretty rough. The first road goes to the plant warehouses.

the road is not that bad and has been graveled. the ramp looks in REALLY bad shape and there is no dock. so good luck if you want to use it

I dont want to launch from there, just use it to pick some folks up so I dont have to drive up or down river, and neither do they when fishing the Nuke area.

That ramp should have hours 6 am to 11 pm.
