I was just wondering on a scale of 1-10 what you guys would rank these lakes for bass(Largemouth, spots, Smalljaws) and in what order would you rank them. I was just interested for some differing opinions. THanks guys.

If you want to catch spots in numbers the Nickajack tail waters are hard to beat. From Chick dam to Moccusun Bend is loaded with spots. In the spring and fall having 40, 50, even 70 fish days are not uncommon. We boated 141 bass one day this spring and had numerous 70 fish days. I even had one 70 bass day fishing solo this spring.

I would pic Watts Bar as the better smallmouth lake. My dad has numerous pics of 3-4 lb smallies and the largest smallie I ever seen in person was lost on the Bar, probably 7lbs or better.

Chick and Watts Bar are a toss up for largemouths. Due to size of Nickajack I would rank it third for LM.

Wiskers meant Chickamauga tailwaters (Nickajack lake). I would rank the Chickamauga tailwaters right up there with any body of water for Smallmouth. We can make it an even better smallmouth fishery by harvesting the smaller spots (11" and less). Spotted bass are the #1 predator species of largemouth and smallmouth.

I think The Chick is better than The Bar for Largemouth.

I believe you mean head waters right about here----|

I think Chick is better for LM only because it offers grass fishing. I have spent hundreds of days on the Bar and maybe only 20 days on the chick due to the drive . With what little knowledge I have of Chick, I always still manage to catch a decent sack. I have had tons of horrible days on the BAr and some incredible days too. But the Chick has a more diverse habitat, giving you more options, in my opinion.
