I took the plunge and did something that I never thought that I would do..........I bought a different kind of jerkbait. Yea, I had looked at them before, but never thought that I would use them.

I bought one that is blue in color, kind of "metallic" in finish, and now, I am completely sold on them.

First cast using this lure, I had something happen to me that I haven't ever had happen. I hooked into a nice bass, around 2 lbs., and had another bass around 4 lbs., trying to take the bait outta this bass' mouth! It was an unreal scene. What's even sadder, is that if I hadn't given the bass enough slack to swim down, I would have got the 2nd bass on the front trebles. I gave it just enough slack to swim back down, and when I did, the other bass swam over the top of it, and missed the lure.

That was the only bass that I managed to get on the bank, but I did have another bass "shamoo" a Pop-R. Completely nailed it, came completely outta the water, did a complete belly flop (which I give a 8.6 on, great form, not a lot of splash upon re-enter), hooked up, but came unbuttoned.

I would highly recommend the X-Rap series of jerkbaits. They not only look good, and provide a bigger profile for the fish to take, but they also produce. emoToast
