Are there any special instructions for the weigh-in ? This many boats at the Woftever ramp is going to be extremely crowded.

I am sure it will be difficult if everyone waits to the last minute to get back to the ramp.

We will start the weigh-in at 9:50PM and it will conclude when the last bag is weighed.

The tournament ends at 9:45 but that doesn't mean everyone has to wait until 9:45 to get their boat on the trailer. I usually get back to the ramp about 30 minutes early just to get set up for the weigh-in.

My advice to those that are coming in from other ramps is to let your co-angler out at the dock to bring the fish up to weigh and the boater stays in the boat out in the no wake area. If they place in the tx or win big fish they can come up for the picture and money.

Scenic City Fishing Charters just sweetened the Big Fish contest with a little more incentive. rsimms will prepare and mail an 8X10 high resolution print of the weekly big fish winner. (Suitable for framing of course). I will ask for the name and complete mailing addressfor the each weekly big fish winner. rsimms will do the rest.

why would you stop with 50 boats emoScratch also i can think of several people that will want to fish this tx that have nothing to do with the CFF. if i'm not mistaken you passed out flyers pertaining to this event. lets say i live in DALTON and drive all the way to the ramp to fish your dog fight and i find out that there are already 50 boats. WILL I BE TURNED AWAY??? you could make someone very unhappy.

I would like nothing better than to have 100 boats in it but I know that would be a logistical nightmare at Wolftever. I am trying to keep this manageable and on time. No one will be turned away that makes a legitimate effort to arrive on time. If they get there and signed up before 6:40PM, regardless of how many boats we have signed up, they will be allowed to fish. I am trying to avoid having late arrivals showing up right at blast off and expecting us to hold the tournament for them.

I will borrow a quote from BBass on the CFF Tournament, "Show up Early".

I think 30 boats or more is going to be a nightmare at wofetever boat ramp with one little boat dock no disrespect i think it should be moved to chester frost park for more room

I had a PM about the single file start taking a long time. The way we have it structured it won't take long at all.

yeah that is the only thing that i fear.somebody is goin to have to wait.if it was longer then 3 hour that would be great.but in dogfights ever min counts.I think we should wiegh in by the number we draw. know we goin to be real early..thanks for puttin on a dogfight on fri nt.it is so hard to get the next am and to work after you fish half the night.but that is just my 2 cents.cant wait till fri nt.

The low numbers need to get get up near the starting boat and the high numbers work toward the back. When your number is called be ready to move. Then it is a simple pass by with live wells open. If everyone follows simple instructions it won't take more than 5 minutes.

84 boats in CBA = 25 Minutes. I did the last tourney there. We basically do it the same way you are.

The main thing is that people get in place! If someone is at the back and its thier time to pass....it holds up the field. Yea, I'd be ill if dude is at the rear saying..oh, ts my turn! emoBang I think it will work out though. Trail and error. If you find an improvement, all the better.

Looking forward to Friday!

SWL Jake sent out 118 boats in 14 minutes in a dual line Saturday morning. As long as everyone is paying attention you shouldn't have any problems.

Guys, Im not knocking any of you, but let the man run his tournaments the way he wants to run them. These tournaments have to be structured by trial and error. If after the first event a problem is found, correct it for the next one and so be it. These were some GREAT pot tournaments last year and Im sure this year will be just as good, and probably even better from the looks of it. Big props go out to Ratman and Popeyedpete. I know you guys have put in A LOT of work over the last few months trying to get this thing put together, and I wish ya'll the best of luck! I hope to make as many of them as I can!
