I could eat BBQ everyday of my life and be happy. I say we have a combination fishing tournament and BarB-Q cook off at the ramp after every tourney with awards going to Biggest Combined Weight, Big Fish, Big Smallmouth, Best Pork Loin, Best Beef Brisket, and Most Creative BBQ Related Side Dish. I got a mean baked bean recipe. LOL

Tomorrow night is the dinner. Lots of door prizes, sponsors and food. See ya tomorrow night.

JBrotherton will also be there signing up people for the Dalton High School Baseball Tournament.

The dinner had a good turnout and some great food. Thanks to Two Pigs Bar-B-Q for feeding a scurvy bunch like us.

We picked up two more sponsors and added a few interesting twists to our dogfight plans for this summer.

The ground work has been set for a great tournament series.

I want to thank ERMC, Scenic City Fishing Charters, Volunteer Rid-A-Pest, Pro Lures of Dalton, J Fred Johnson Insurance, Tngrafix, H&H Towing, Chastain Auto Glass, and First Art Source for making this dinner a big success.

OH and a big note to self.

If your ever have the urge to talk about run-ins on the water with TWRA make sure that you know everyone at the table. Turns out we had two TWRA Officers amongst us. It actually was funny after the red faces disappeared. emoSorry

love to hear that story!

Them two TWRA boys looked like they were gonna get writer's cramp there whilst you all were talking about your repeating violations!
BWAAHAAHAAHAAAHAAAAA!

Guys that kind of talk happens all the time and it just comes with the job. Usually after all is said and done we all get a laugh as we did last night. Nice bunch of guys and knew a couple from fishing tourneys up in Meigs. Thanks for putting on a short tourney since it starts getting tough to take off for large tourneys. See you on the water one way or the other...

Just for the record, (before we get labeled as evil doers) one night tournament back in the summer, Ratman and I were sitting in the back of a long semi secluded slough in about 1.5 of water. The bugs were so bad we turned off the anchor light (AKA Bug Attractor) and was fishing with the black lights on. We quickly found out that this was frowned upon by the local TWRA officers on patrol (Stake out). Fishn4cash got hooked the same night for the same thing.

The funny part was the suggestions on how to be "legal" but not attract bugs. It ranged from putting a sock on it to a piece of black electrical tape. NO TWRA bashing was going on just good humored ribbing of each other about getting busted.

Before we left the dinner Ratman had everyone introduce themselves and what they did for a living. That is when we found out we had the two TWRA guys in the group. (In under cover attire, they were disguised as Bar-b-q eating fisherman).

I don't think we ever found out what color sock to use.

FishingBen has volunteered to help us out this year. He will also be the official Bar-B-Q taster if any bar-b-q contests break out.

The Tournament Board of Directors so far. We still need one more to help out.
