Launched from the Riverpark around 5 pm with good current, lots of trash in the stained water, and winds blowing upriver. While I didn't catch the quantity that I have been catching down there, the quality was better this evening. Caught two 13" spots off of the Robinson Bridge pylon with a spinnerbait then decided to head downtown to fish the riprap around GPS and lower. With a green pumpkin tube caught a 2 lb Channel Cat, then on the next cast landed at least a ten lb drum. Both put up great fights on a lightweight rod with 6 lb test!. Caught a few google eyes, then close to dark, landed a nice 3 lb largemouth on the jig. Moved to the middle of the river and fished around one of the market street bridge pylons and caught a 2 lb spot that was a chunk. At dark I decided to stop on the way to the ramp at a spot where I have caught a few smallmouth and on the first cast there, boated a pretty 16" smallie. I only took pics of the catfish and the drum, but it was a nice evening to be on the water.
